Llamas in Butcombe

I woke up this morning to find a large llama in the field. It was trying to dismember the bunting around the yurt, the chickens were going mental and Henry was doing his best to bark himself into an early grave.

The idiot chickens woke me up, closely followed by the little hairy git who was barking and yelping at the same time. I jumped out of bed and looked out of the window, my first thought was there must be a fox in the garden, but no, over in the field was a large white llama calmly eating the bunting around the yurt. I goggled somewhat thinking that maybe the TIA's had returned unbeknownst to me and were causing hallucinations.

Fuck, any second now the blasted animal was going to start on the yurt proper. I hopped desperately around the bedroom managing somehow to get both feet into one leg of my combats and promptly falling over my boots. I eventually sorted myself out and legged it downstairs, Henry was doing a sort of rubber ball impression in front of the patio doors I let him out and ran across the garden to the field. No sign of any llama apart from the sadly chewed bunting around the yurt. I span round on one heel looking round the field but there was no sign of a six foot tall white llama.

Henry was barking at something from the bridge over the stream and I went back down and was just in time to see a white woolly backside disappearing down the stream in the direction of the mill.

Despite searching the next door field and walking down the stream as far as I was able I couldn't find hide nor hair of it and also despite asking everyone I met no one will own up to owning a llama and it seems that no one else has seen it either, so I am either descending into very early onset dementia or there is a wild llama loose in Butcombe.

  2. Bugger I missed it - Got up early to go to the bootie. He or she did a really good job of ruining my best bunting.
